Chloe Tolderlund, a sophomore in the Westphal College of Media Arts & Design's Product Design program won the NYCxDesign Student Design Award at the 2019 International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF). Chloe showcased her furniture design "Groei" (Dutch for growth), an experimental yet functional piece. Groei incorporates interactive elements to foster a sense of playfulness. Chloe also participates in Drexel's STAR Scholars summer research program, addressing public health issues through design.

The NYCxDesign Awards honor outstanding products and projects in categories that span major areas of design, from architecture to interiors, from products to accessories, from craft to technology.
