As part of their annual School Shows, Dezeen has featured Drexel student work from graduate and undergraduate Interiors, as well as Architecture and Design Research.

Fourteen Drexel projects were selected from among graduating thesis students, including: 

“Students Sentenced: Architecture and Design for Imprisoned Rights” by Kate Bormann promotes a more rehabilitative environment and enables human connections through architectural fluidity, spatial flexibility, natural light, and material texture. 

“Pier of Grief: Spatial Exploration of Cinematic Techniques through the Lens of Loss” by Pooja Kalavagunta transposes cinematic techniques into interiors to heighten and dramatize user experience both physically and emotionally, suggesting a novel approach to memorial design. 

“Design in Rural Communities: A Holistic Human Connection to Place” by Jennifer Sandora utilizes local materials and resources to revitalize local architecture and highlight the beauty of historic structures. 

“Sprout: The Center for Boundless Expression” by Elise Robinson focuses on issues of sensory processing disorders in adolescents. 

“Solace - A Recreation and Wellness Center for Children and their Families” by Ellie Hamilton is a recreation and wellness center for children currently undergoing treatment within the healthcare realm. 

“The Oasis: Healing Wellness Getaway” by YeRin Cheong is a wellness retreat that enhances emotional and mental wellness through a nature-friendly environment and holistic educational and therapeutic services. 

“Atelier: An Art Retreat for Young Adults” by Haley Cross provides a safe and comforting atmosphere for young adults struggling with stress and anxiety.
