Johnston Marklee Give Drexel Arfaa Lecture

Johnston Marklee, noted as “one of the most talented architectural practices in the United States,” presented the fall 2021 Arfaa lecture on the topic "Extremes and In-Between."
The architectural office of Johnston Marklee was founded in Los Angeles in 1998 by Sharon Johnston and Mark Lee. Since then, the firm’s work has been recognized nationally and internationally with over 40 major design awards and featured in numerous publications. Recent projects include the Dropbox global headquarters in San Francisco and the Menil Drawing Institute in Houston. Johnston and Lee also organized the 2018 “Festival for the People” on Philadelphia’s Cherry Street Pier and served as the artistic directors of the 2017 Chicago Architecture Biennial. In 2018, Johnston and Lee were both named Professors of Practice at the Harvard Graduate School of Design where Lee also serves as chair of the Architecture Department.
