Drexel Interiors Student Projects Featured in Dezeen

As part of their annual School Shows, Dezeen has featured Drexel student work from graduate and undergraduate interiors.  

 

Ten Drexel projects were selected from among graduating thesis students, including: 

 

“Mitigating the Dangers of Concrete Jungles with Biotecture” by Mizuki Davis proposes a synthesis of biology and architecture though mixed-use residential development.  

 

“Azola Eco Retreat” by Abby Karle uses a positive regenerative loop to connect guests to the local ecosystem through wildlife, sustainable activities, and farm-to-table culinary experiences. 

 

“Resistance: Speculative Design Confronts Systemic Trauma of the Black Diaspora” by Karla Roberts explores Afrofuturism through the narrative form of the graphic novel. 

 

“Multicultural Centre” by Maryam Abdou helps international students acclimate throughout their college career, stimulating healing and inclusivity. 

 

“Tourism and Sustainability in New Orleans” by Rachel Ayella-Silver reconceives tourism to improve the wellbeing of host communities and sustain the social, environmental and economic conditions of destination regions. 

 

“Sondr Art Centre” by Lorraine Francisco highlights the importance of the arts through unity and inclusivity with the contrasting elements of chaos and organization.
