Interior Architecture & Design graduate students presented their thesis topics and preliminary research at our annual Thesis Podium Event. For the very first time the event was carried out virtually. Each student prepared a three-minute video presentation of their topic, and met on Zoom in informal breakout discussions with faculty and guests to refine their preliminary proposals.   

The event is a fantastic opportunity for students to engage with Philadelphia’s professional community in the current design discourse. Each student will be paired with a practicing professional to advise them in their continued research and design development. This year 26 thesis students are addressing a range of topics including questions of community and belonging, Afrofuturism, relationships with nature, and reframing historical sites. 

Thesis research and programming continues through the winter and spring quarters and culminates in a final presentation in May. Click here to view the video presentations.
