Curious as to how design research can further your career goals? Join us on Wednesday, January 18th in URBN Room 239 from 6:30-8pm to learn more about our creative and innovative two-year Master in Science in Design Research, which affords emerging designers the opportunity to pursue customized learning and research experiences drawing upon Westphal’s strengths in Fashion, Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design and Graphic Design with opportunities to collaborate with numerous disciplines from across the University. The info session will include work from the program, an introduction to current students and faculty, and will demonstrate how design research addresses important societal problems, utilizes the latest technologies, and provides advances in design thinking. The Master of Science in Design Research allows students to consider complex multidisciplinary problems beyond the scope of traditional boundaries within individual design disciplines. This ethical, human-centered and international perspective on 21st century design enables you to explore and develop a critical understanding of design as theory, concept and practice in service to current and future challenges. This 46-credit program offers study in areas of design research including Design and Technology, Environmental Design and Health or a self designed area. Working alongside Drexel’s world class faculty, you will practice design research and apply solutions that are in demand to drive your long-term career growth and success.
