Please join us in congratulating the faculty and students in the Interior Architecture & Design graduate program for receiving national recognition and awards.
The program was ranked 10th in the nation in DesignIntelligence’s 2015 list of America’s Best Architecture & Design Schools. Published by the prestigious Design Futures Council, DesignIntelligence is a resource that provides information on cutting-edge research and emerging trends in the field of design.
In addition to this national recognition, two third-year graduate students received special awards for their achievements. Yumeng Wang participated in the 13th annual Student Competition hosted by Jacobs (KlingStubbins), a prominent local Interiors and Architecture firm, and received second place and a cash award for a design scheme and space plan for a corporate headquarters for Saxby Coffee. The competition involved students from the Interior Design programs at Arcardia University, The Art Institute, Drexel University, Harcum College, Moore College of Art and Design and Philadelphia University. Additionally, Ariana Paul received first place in the local chapter of the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality’s annual Scholarship Award competition. The scholarship is granted to high achieving students pursuing a design education who demonstrate a financial need and have a career goal in the hospitality industry.
