The Interior Architecture & Design graduate program was ranked 7th among all programs in the United States in DesignIntelligence’s Best Interior Design Programs for 2014 report. This is the second rise in ranking for the program in the past five years. The Interior Design graduate program ranked 9th best in the United States in 2010 and 13th best in 2008.
The program also listed 4th among similar programs in the U.S. for strength in computer skills education in DesignIntelligence’s Interior Design Skills Assessment. These assessments were conducted through surveys of professional hiring firms.
DesignIntelligence also sampled 764 Interior Design students at universities across the country in ranking and assessing their own programs. Of Drexel's Interior Design students, 80 percent ranked the overall program as "excellent" (the highest grade), with 13 percent ranking the program "above average." When students were asked whether or not they believed they would be prepared for their profession upon graduation, 100 percent of respondents voted "yes."
