UHC Data Analyst accepted to present abstract at the 2019 annual meeting of the American Public Health Association.

Binod Acharya, MS, data analyst at the Urban Health Collaborative was recently accepted to present an abstract at the 2019 annual meeting of the American Public Health Association (APHA). APHA's Annual Meeting and Expo is where public health professionals convene, learn, network and engage with peers. This year’s meeting will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, November 2-6, 2019. The theme of this year’s conference is "Creating the Healthiest Nation: For science. For action. For health."

Acharya was nominated by the Delta Omega chapter at Drexel University. Acharya was one of twenty-eight other students from other schools and programs of public health invited to participate in the poster session. His abstract explores the spatiotemporal trends of overall health in the US counties between 2010 and 2018 utilizing hierarchical Bayesian methods and examines whether spatial disparities in health outcomes can be explained by county level socio-economic characteristics.
