Career Highlights

• Designed and implemented a strategic plan to restructure the center by modernizing the operations, updating staff and redesigning training curriculum – training opportunities and faculty participation increased 80 percent
• Restructured a teacher education program by creating a national model for teacher training and a new doctoral program in education and knowledge technology that was a primary factor in getting the University of Cincinnati’s education programs accredited
• Provided leadership that helped faculty understand and adopt emerging technologies that improved instruction for more than 5,000 pre-service teachers
• Co-directed six research teams in the United Arab Emirates to conduct a needs assessment for school reform and produced a report – Technology in Education Blueprint – with recommendations, that are now being implemented to redesign schools in the UAE and retrain thousands of teachers
• Co-wrote the national education technology standards that are now adopted by the U.S. Department of Education and are required for accreditation for teacher education curriculum programs seeking national accreditation – standards have been adopted by all 50 states for gauging technology integration in K-12 schools
• Produced grant proposals that resulted in more than $30 million in funding for research and development for various colleges and universities
• Employed a systematic TQM model of management and training using Lewin’s Change Management Model Concepts of Understanding the Three Stages of Change and Roger’s Theory of Innovations and Adoption – collaborated with a faculty advisory committee that served as the voice of the faculty to ensure concerns were being addressed
