Drexel University Emergency Preparedness Plan
The Drexel University Emergency Preparedness Plan (DUEPP) provides a structure for confronting and managing any emergencies which could cause a disruption of the functioning of any part of the Drexel University campus.
This Plan provides a framework for coordinating the preparation, response and contingency efforts of all Drexel University campuses. It serves the Center City, Queen Lane and University City campuses as well as the Academy of Natural Sciences.
WHAT we are preparing for: man-made or natural disasters such as fire, cyber-attack, flood, blackout, infectious disease, snow storm, terrorism, crimes.
WHO will respond: the Plan establishes a three-tiered hierarchy for managing emergency situations: Crisis Management Team (CMT), Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Incident Response Team (IRT).
Components of the DUEPP are:
- Master Plan, a policy document
- Crisis Communication Plan
- Evacuation Plan
- Departmental Plans or Administrative Playbooks
- Building Plans ("Dragon Books")
