Drexel University College of Medicine's Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Professional Studies recently recognized faculty excellence with its inaugural Teaching and Mentoring Awards. Faculty members were selected by fellow faculty, staff and students to receive these honors.

The Teaching Awards were presented to faculty members who have demonstrated commitment to, and excellence in, the education of students through innovative programs, as well as the ability to inspire, promote, and sustain the intellectual development of students, serving as a teacher, leader, mentor and role model.
The Mentoring Awards were presented to faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in mentoring colleagues and/or students by creating a supportive, effective environment, while advocating for the advancement of their mentees in their chosen discipline and serving as a trusted adviser and role model.
