Dear Members of the University Community,

I offer my condolences to each of you on the passing of our beloved president, Dr. Constantine "Taki" Papadakis. President Papadakis was an extraordinary leader whose imprint upon this University is indelible and his leadership will improve the lives of the members of the Drexel community for generations.

I invite you to come together as a community to celebrate the life and legacy of President Papadakis on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 3:30 pm in the Auditorium of the Main Building. At the conclusion of the memorial tribute, at approximately 5:00 pm, there will be a reception in the Great Court.

If you plan to attend the memorial tribute and reception, it would be most helpful if you would RSVP via email to Megan Storti at mas329@drexel.edu as soon as possible and no later than May 4, 2009. Please note the number of individuals that will be attending in the subject line of the email.

Although we all mourn the loss of a man that had the vision and the passion to transform Drexel University, the most appropriate way to honor his leadership is for each of us, in our own way, to continue to demonstrate our devoted and loyal commitment to this great University.
