Mary Ann Kuzma, MD, is a professor of medicine. She was born and raised in the Philadelphia area. Dr Kuzma attended St Joseph’s University where she graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Chemistry. Afterward, she attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Her interests are prevention and screening in health care, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes across all age groups. Dr Kuzma has dedicated her career to teaching medical students, particularly in the ambulatory setting. She has also collaborated with the National Board of Medical Examiners for many years to help develop testing materials for medical students.

After completing her internship and residency in internal medicine at Graduate Hospital, where she was chief resident, Dr. Kuzma was an instructor of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kuzma joined Drexel Medicine's predecessor school MCP Hahnemann University School of Medicine in 1988 as an assistant professor of medicine. She is now a professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine.
