AAMC Leadership Development Opportunities

Each year the College of Medicine supports eligible faculty members to apply for attendance at AAMC leadership development programs. From the pool of internal applicants, one will be chosen to formally apply to the AAMC program.

Internal Application Process

The applicant must submit the following:

  • Updated CV in the College of Medicine format
  • Statement from the candidate that includes:
    • Description of present responsibilities
    • Accomplishments to date
    • 2- and 5-year goals
    • Expectations for how the program will help her achieve those goals
    • Mentorship plan for the applicant
  • Letter of support from the department chair

Complete application packets in the form of a single PDF file should be sent to Michele Taylor in the Offices of Faculty Affairs and Faculty Development. Do not send items piecemeal; they will not be considered.
