- Discuss the demographics and adverse consequences of poverty in children
- Review the Adverse Childhood Experiences study
- Compile resources to alleviate the effects of poverty in the children you see
- Review the epidemiology of hunger and food insecurity
- Discuss the impact of hunger and food insecurity on families
- Outline an approach to screening for and addressing food insecurity in health care settings
- Describe the components of the SPEAC model
- Identify opportunities to become involved in the fight against hunger
