Jill M. Giordano Farmer, DO, MPH, is board certified in neurology. Dr. Farmer previously worked at Capital Health Systems, where she was charged with developing a comprehensive movement disorder program to address medical management, surgical management and rehabilitation programs for Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. She developed clinics including botulinum toxin clinics for dystonia and spasticity and deep brain stimulation management of Parkinson’s Disease, essential tremor and dystonia.

Jill M. Giordano Farmer, DO, MPH, is an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Drexel University College of Medicine. She serves as a mentor and advisor through the alumni association of UMDNJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine. She also developed and now coordinates the Delaware Valley Regional Movement Disorder Meeting, a quarterly educational meeting that brings together academic and community movement disorder specialists, functional neurosurgeons and allied team members. The meeting consists of an educational presentation and video rounds, and is sponsored through educational grants.

Dr. Farmer was elected president of the Philadelphia Neurological Society in 2019.

Research Interests

Investigation of the non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease, including cognition, depression and apathy; exploring the impact of environmental stressors and the risk of developing Parkinson's disease
