Witnesses to Hunger Launches Washington D.C. Site
February 7, 2016
On January 14 Witnesses to Hunger launched a site in Washington, D.C, in partnership with Martha's Table. Seven strong women took pictures of their lives focusing on the themes identified by the Witnesses: food, housing, safety and violence, health, discrimination, and working parents. The exhibit launch was attended by numerous Witnesses from Philadelphia and Washington D.C., friends and partners including Audrey Rowe, USDA Administrator for Food and Nutrition Services and Katharine Ferguson, Senior Policy Advisor for Urban Affairs, Justice, and Opportunity with the Domestic Policy Council at the White House.
