Community App Lab has launched an initiative to assist local small businesses in West Philadelphia in developing websites to foster business growth. We have partnered with Rebrand Cities, an ambitious effort to get 10,000 small businesses online and to become full-fledged members of the online world. On June 3, 2017, App Lab kicks off this initiative with a “build-a-thon” - a one-day website development workshop. In partnership with the Lancaster Avenue 21st Century Business Association and West Philadelphia Corridor Collaborative, we have selected an initial group of local business owners to connect with Drexel students and leading designers from WordPress, a supporter of Rebrand Cities, to develop new websites.
