Student Scholarships

The Drexel Construction Management (CMGT) students may be eligible for additional scholarship funding, either from the department or outside organizations. The following Drexel CMGT department scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and/or need.

The Gilbane Building Company Endowed Scholarship Fund: This fund provides financial support in the form of scholarship awards to students enrolled in the construction management program who are in good academic standing and who possess demonstrated financial need. (Awarded to freshman, may follow recipient throughout time at Drexel providing student remains in good academic standing and is enrolled in construction management.)

The Northern California Carpenters, Laborers & Operating Engineers Unions and Construction Employers' Endowed Scholarship Fund: This fund provides financial support in the form of scholarship awards to students with demonstrated financial need. First preference is given for a student who self-identifies by July 1 as having a parent who is a member of a Union affiliated with the Northern California Carpenters Regional Council, or the Northern California District Council of Laborers or Operating Engineers Union, Local 3 or a parent who is an employer or employed by an employer that is a member of the Construction Employers’ Association and who wishes to major in the undergraduate program in Construction Management at Drexel University, Philadelphia or the graduate Construction Management program online. If no child identifies in any given year, second preference is for a student whose parent is a member of a Union affiliated with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America, or the Laborers International Union of North America or the International Association of Operating Engineers who wishes to major in the undergraduate program in Construction Management at Drexel University, Philadelphia or the graduate Construction Management program online. If there are no such students identified in any given year, any student who is a California resident and whose parent is a member of any Labor Organization who wishes to major in the undergraduate program in Construction Management at Drexel University, Philadelphia or the graduate Construction Management program online shall be eligible.

Donnelly Family Foundation Scholarship: This fund provides financial support in the form of scholarship awards to full-time or part-time students who are enrolled in the construction management program in the Richard C. Goodwin College of Professional Studies and who graduated from public, private, parochial, charter or preparatory high schools within the Philadelphia city limits. First preference is given to freshman level students. Each recipient receives the scholarship for one year only.
