The Future of Healthcare in France

Catherine Keller
Researcher and Instructor
Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sante Publique

Catherine Keller is a researcher and instructor at Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sante Publique (EHESP) in Rennes, France. Mme. Keller will describe an ongoing transformation in the nature of French hospitals brought about by collaboration across facilities. Barriers between public, nonprofit and for-profit hospitals are eroding as partnerships are formed to better manage and coordinate care. The right to health care is protected by the French constitution, and hospital partnerships must guarantee equitable access to care that is safe, effective and efficient.
