Vitamin D, seasonality, and risk of autism 
 
Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics Presents Brian Lee, PhD Associate Professor Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics "Vitamin D, seasonality, and risk of autism" Vitamin D, also known as the “sunshine vitamin”, has been implicated in animal and human studies as potentially being involved in the etiology of autism. Preliminary findings from 2 ongoing studies will be discussed: 1) a study of early life vitamin D and later ASD using maternal and neonatal blood samples in the Stockholm Youth Cohort; and 2) a study of birth seasonality in ASD in 5 countries.
