Urban Health Collaborative and EPI/BIO Joint Seminar: Planning for Health

The Urban Health Collaborative and the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics are proud to Present Jana Hirsch, PhD who will talk on ‘Planning for Health: Constructing evidence for the built environment's influence on physical activity and health’. Jana Hirsch is a neighborhood researcher who is broadly trained in social epidemiology, environmental health and geography. Dr. Hirsch’s research utilizes longitudinal, multilevel, and spatial methods to examine association between built environments and health. She is currently an assistant professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Arnold School of Public Health in the University of South Carolina and a visiting researcher with the Center for Hip Health and Mobility at the University of British Columbia.
