The end of year is commonly seen as a charitable time. After all, many end of the year holidays revolve around kindness and generosity. Here’s how you, your company, and the people around you can enjoy and enjoy giving back.

Good reputation

Donating and volunteering within your community creates a relationship with the people around you. When a business helps people, those people are more likely to support the company in return. Building community goodwill means there are more people speaking positive word of mouth about you and your business. Every little bit helps!

Connections

Philanthropic organization meet ups and community events are great places to network. You’ll meet entrepreneurs, businesspeople, and active community members who are passionate about the area’s social and economic well-being.

Considering that most companies make philanthropy part of their business model, you never know who you could run into! With offices in more than 40 countries, Google has a large global reach and is involved with several community programs. Since the ‘80s, Microsoft employees have donated over $1 billion to charitable organizations.

Make the world a little brighter

Many entrepreneurs create their own companies because they want to make a change to the status quo. Putting in effort not only makes your community flourish, but also the people within your company. Rewarding work and a positive company culture can inspire your teammates to be apart of something they’re passionate about.

So in these upcoming months, be sure to make some spare time to give back to your community!
