2015 Business Plan Competition Finalists Announced
Seven companies will compete on May 20 for cash prizes and in-kind services.

The Close School's Baiada Institute for Entrepreneurship has announced that the following seven student teams have been selected as semi-finalists in the 2015 Ian J. Berg Business Plan Competition. The teams are eligible to present their business plans to a panel of judges on May 20 at 5 p.m. in the Paul Peck Alumni Center.
Of the seven finalists, three winners will be selected and cash prizes of $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 will be awarded. The teams will also receive feedback with comments from the judges.
Neuroband’s objective is to help improve the lives and health of consumers who suffer from epilepsy by providing them a way to detect and monitor their seizures. Both users and caregivers can feel more at ease knowing that their symptoms are being closely monitored. With Neuroband’s tracking and gathering technology and medication reminders, Neuroband aids physicians in understanding each patient’s epileptic symptoms and provides better treatment.
Beatsology is an app that syncs to a user’s device’s library or Spotify account to create playlists based on a user’s desired workout intensity, correlated to BPM of a song. Users can design their own workouts based on heart rate goals or select a workout template from the app, as playlists are filled with songs in the user's music library or Spotify account.

Click on Cubbies are designed to be compatible with the chairs already owned by the industry's fastest growing restaurants.
StudyTree is the first free app that matches students on a mobile platform for peer tutoring. StudyTree enables college students to tutor, or get tutored by, fellow students. The app is for students that need help when the tutoring center is inconvenient, closed or busy. StudyTree has decided to continue their beta test for spring term and test launch the 3rd party payment portal.
