WHYY recently featured Drexel’s innovative program, Black Girls STEAMing Through Dance, which blends coding and computational thinking with movement and design to engage underrepresented students in science, technology, engineering, art and math.

Co-founded by Michelle L. Rogers, PhD, associate professor of information science at the College of Computing & Informatics, with fellow Drexel professors of dance, education, and product design, the program offerings include workshops that lead Philadelphia-area elementary and middle-school students to combine their creativity with new technical skills.
