Drexel University alumni Paritosh Gupta, BS computer science ’18, Aasim Sani, BA entrepreneurship and innovation ’20, and Danish Dhamani, BS mechanical engineering ’17 are featured in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Class of 2021 list for their speech-coaching app Orai.
Gupta, CTO of Orai, and Sani, COO, founded the company while attending Drexel in 2017. Orai got their start in Drexel’s Baiada Institute for Entrepreneurship, and was recognized with several honors at business and startup competitions during their time at Drexel. The app is now established as a monthly subscription service to more than 5,000 users, including corporations such as Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Comcast and IBM. The startup, still based in Philadelphia, has raised $2.3 million in seed funding and expects to become profitable in 2021.
Orai has garnered worldwide attention, including features in Smithsonian Magazine, TEDx, TechCrunch, VentureBeat, The Guardian, NBC News and Fast Company.
