College of Computing & Informatics (CCI) alumnus Kelsey Bogan was announced as the winner of the Outstanding Student Librarian award by the
Pennsylvania School Librarians Association (PSLA). Bogan graduated from CCI in 2015 with a Master of Science in Library and Information Science (MSLIS).
Every year, PSLA gives an
Outstanding Student Librarian Award to one student in each library program offered within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Students who demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities, display an interest in professional action and are dedicated to teaching and the field of school library as a professions are considered for the award.
As part of the award, Bogan will receive complimentary registration to the PSLA conference, and a one-year membership to PSLA.
Bogan will be honored for her achievements during the 2016 PSLA Conference (May 12 to 14, 2016) at the
PSLA College Gatherings meeting on Thursday, May 12 at 9 p.m. at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, Pa.
Bogan currently works as a school librarian and media specialist at the
Penn-Delco School District. Prior to pursuing a career as a school librarian, Bogan was a researcher, research training coordinator and supervisor. She received her bachelor of arts degree in art history from Arcadia University in 2011.
