College of Computing & Informatics (CCI) undergraduate student Harry Kim has been selected to receive the
Philadelphia Philanthropic Society for Information Management Foundation’s (PHISIM) scholarship award from the
Society of Information’s (SIM) local chapter in Philadelphia. Kim, who is currently a sophomore computer science student at Drexel University, was nominated for the award by CCI faculty based on his exemplary academic performance.
SIM is a national organization of information technology professionals with many local chapters whose goal is to provide leadership and education in the successful management and use of information technology to achieve business objectives. Their local chapter,
SIM Philadelphia, awards scholarship grants to selected students from local Philadelphia universities. CCI was one of the programs selected to participate in the grant program for the 2016 calendar year. PHISIM, which is an outreach arm of SIM Philadelphia, sponsors scholarships for undergraduate students majoring in computer science or information technology who are going into their junior or senior year at universities in the Philadelphia area.
