Monday, April 14 to Saturday, April 19 – Philadelphia Book Festival
Join the Free Library of Philadelphia for a celebration of literacy and the arts at the eighth annual Philadelphia Book Festival! This beloved celebration continues with events at neighborhood libraries throughout the city, along with headlining author events in the Parkway Central Library’s Montgomery Auditorium during National Library week from April 14-19, 2014. The Book Festival now stretches into every Philadelphia community, ensuring that book worms and literacy lovers from across the city can get in on the fun! Headlining authors that will appear throughout the week at Parkway Central include Debbie Macomber, Barbara Ehrenreich, and Pat and Gina Neely. NLWD is a day for library staff, users, administrators and Friends groups to recognize the valuable contributions made by all library workers. Wednesday, April 16, 12-2 p.m., Rush Building Lobby – CCI Celebrates National Library Week with an Afternoon Snack
Stop by the Rush building lobby anytime from noon to 2 p.m. for light refreshments and snacks, and mingle with fellow CCI students, faculty and professional staff (event is free and open to the CCI community).
