For his dedication to economic empowerment and community development, Drexel University Executive Director of Economic Impact & Workforce Inclusion Allen Riddick has been awarded a Citation of Recognition and Special Partnership Tribute by Pennsylvania State Senator Vincent Hughes.

In his role with Drexel’s Accounts Payable and Procurement Services team, Riddick leads the University’s work to broaden Drexel's pool of suppliers by developing business relationships with small and local businesses.

“Your partnership and dedication to economic empowerment and community development continue to make a profound impact,” Hughes said in presenting the citation to Riddick at the VestedIn Opportunities Breakfast held on April 25. “You have been an invaluable partner in advancing economic opportunities and workforce inclusion.”

Hughes specifically noted Riddick’s achievements in the areas of economic mobility and workforce development, bridging gaps in education, skills development, and workforce integration.

“This recognition truly touched my heart, especially hearing the recorded remarks from business owners about the impact of the work we do here at Drexel,” said Riddick. “Their words were a powerful reminder of how meaningful our efforts are in the community.”
