University Chorus and Chamber Singers Winter Concert: Bound To Dream

Join the University Chorus and Chamber singers as they present a program of music spanning 800 years that looks to our past to inform our present. David Lang’s emphatic Statement to the Court uses the text of the 1918 speech by Eugene Debs to decry our outgrown social system. Ayanna Woods’ Bound, commissioned in 2021 for the Grammy Award-winning choir The Crossing, memorializes the work of our predecessors while acknowledging that we are still bound and must use the works of our feet and our hands to continue to transform as a society.
