The Twilight Lecture Series hosted by the Drexel Architecture, Design & Urbanism department presents Wanted: Dead and Alive, a lecture by Nancy Goldenberg, President and CEO of Laurel Hill and West Laurel Hill Cemeteries.
In 2018, Nancy Goldenberg was named President & CEO of historic Laurel Hill Cemetery and West Laurel Hill Cemetery. She assumed this leadership role after nearly 20 years with the Center City District where she planned and managed CCD’s most recognized projects including The Rail Park, Sister Cities Park, Collins Park and Dilworth Park. A city planning graduate from the University of Pennsylvania, Nancy comes to this unusual position in the ‘death care industry’ from a deep love for public places, parks and history. As cities become more crowded, and greater demands are placed on urban land for managing the dead, new, more sustainable strategies are emerging. Nancy intends for Laurel Hill and West Laurel Hill cemeteries to be national leaders in developing such strategies.
