Do you want to be an independent fashion entrepreneur? Well, you no longer have to go to New York, Los Angeles or Paris to launch your business. The Philadelphia Fashion Incubator is now accepting applications for their 2014 residency and our Fashion program is hosting an information session for all interested individuals on Monday, Nov. 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in URBN Center room 239. 

The purpose of the Fashion Incubator is to support and promote emerging fashion designers and assist them establishing sustainable and scalable businesses in Philadelphia. The deadline for this year’s application is Dec. 20. Five independent designers will be chosen to become Fashion Incubator designers-in-residence. During the yearlong residency, the designers will enjoy access to studio/work space inside Macy's Center City, attend an intense curriculum of business workshops, showcase and sell their collections at various shows and event along with numerous opportunities to connect with industry leaders including Tory Burch, Steven Alan, Fern Mallis, Tommy Hilfiger and Joan Shepp.
