The Westphal Research Council’s mission is to increase the scope, reach, and impact of research, scholarship, and creative activity at Westphal in alignment with the college’s vision and strategies, building Westphal into a hub for collaborative, interdisciplinary efforts that advance knowledge and creativity to solve challenging social problems and benefit society at large.

The Westphal Research Council provides support and leadership to all Westphal faculty through the provision of educational, networking, and professional development opportunities. The Council promotes collaborative, interdisciplinary research within the university and with external partners, building a culture of research, scholarship, and creative activity through the Westphal College.

Research Council members reflect all departments of the college and bring a range of expertise to the Council’s efforts.
