In 1998 Bruce was invited to teach at Drexel's Photography program to bring digital image processing and editing into the curriculum. In 2008 he was promoted to Associate Teaching Professor. During his twelve years instructing within the program he developed the digital imaging curriculum and instructed students in various courses, including Photo 140, 240, and specialized electives. Additionally, he instructed Biomedical Photography from 2005 through 2010 within the University’s medical college. Among his service to the program, Bruce helped to increase the awareness of program to prospective students through successful marketing efforts and served as a program director for the summer residency program for high school students.
In 2010 Bruce left the Photography program to pursue a career in higher education administration. He returned to serve as an adjunct professor in 2013 teaching non-major photography 210 coursework.
