Annie Simon has been designing costumes for over 20 years, for the stage and screen. Some films Annie has designed are CAN YOU KEEP A SECRET staring: Alexandra Daddario and Laverne Cox dir: Elise Duran which was the number one movie on Itunes in 2019; ANESTHESIA Starring: Kristen Stewart, Glenn Close and Sam Waterson dir: Tim Blake Nelson. FRONT COVER Starring: Jake Choi and James Chen dir: Ray Yeung which won many awards national, including jury Award Best Domestic feature Outflix film festival Memphis and international including Best full feature Serile Filmului Gay film festival Romania, CRYPTO Starring: Alexis Bledel and Kurt Russell dir: John Stalberg Jr. COLEWELL Staring Karen Allen and Kevin J. O’Connor dir: Tom Quinn, and WILDLIKE Starring: Ella Purcell, Bruce Greenwood, and Ann Dowd dir: Frank Hall Green, which won 16 best feature film awards including best feature prize at the Big Island Film Feastival of Hawaii. Most recently MINYAN starring Samuel H. Levine, Ron Rifkin, Christopher McCann and Mark Margolis dir: Eric Steel premiered at the Berlin Film festival 2020 and won best narrative feature at Outfest 2020. Most recent TV series Annie has designed was EMPIRES OF NEW YORK a docu-drama dir: Matthew Galkin, which is set to be shown on CNBC in 2020. Annie has won the Kennedy Center Certificate of Merit for Outstanding costume design for her work on BARTHLEMEW FAIR in 2013. Her costume designs with Target Margin Theater Company have been mentioned in the New York Times and The New Yorker. Her print work has been seen on billboards and subways around NYC. In 2016 she designed Spoleto Festivals opening Opera of PORGY AND BESS dir: David Herskovits for their new Opera House. Annie has earned her MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts Department of Design for Stage and Film and her BFA from Muhlenberg College.
