David Rubinsohn

David Rubinsohn, currently Director of Programming and Sales with TJL Productions, has had more than 25 years experience in the public television industry, mostly at WHYY-TV, Philadelphia as Director of Television Broadcasting. More recently he was with as WLIW VP Programming & Distribution and Station Manager. Rubinsohn directed all activities for the programming department, including WLIW21's local program schedule, acquisitions, on-air branding, program administration, and the development of new opportunities for cross-promotion using multicast services.   Rubinsohn was also responsible for international acquisitions, working closely with WLIW's national production team in the design and planning of the station's programming for national distribution, and advising national and local producers on scheduling considerations and content issues.

Rubinsohn has been an executive producer on numerous pledge event productions including Frost/Nixon: The Original Watergate Interviews, Jews & Baseball: An American Love Story, Sweet Soul Music: The Stax/Volt Soul Review, Daryl Hall & John Oates: Live At The Troubadour, Billy Joel: The Stranger Live, Carole King: Welcome To My Living Room, The Police: Public Television Rocks!, Ashford & Simpson: The Real Thing, Bruce Springsteen: Live In Barcelona, The Legacy Of Otis Redding, Miles Davis: The Sound Of Miles Davis, , and many others. Rubinsohn has served on the boards of the Public Television Programmers Association and the APTVS Premium Service. He also has experience working at the BBC's London office and at the Philadelphia local affiliates for ESPN and NBC Sports.
