Karen teaches Undergraduate Senior level and First Year, Second Year and Third Year Graduate level Studio courses. She also serves as a Thesis Advisor, is Academic Advisor to Third Year Graduate Students and is Faculty Advisor to GIO - the Graduate Interiors Organization.

With over 17 years of experience and a native of Philadelphia, Karen is currently in private practice. Karen has been a part of many exclusive design teams for a variety of regional projects including providing Interior Design services for the adaptive reuse off the PSFS building by the Loews Hotel Corporation. She was most recently a former associate of Daroff Design Inc. located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she focused primarily on Hospitality and High-end Residential design. Prior to this experience Karen was associated with Loews Hotels, based in New York City, where she was a Senior Project Manager and Designer assigned to eight out of the twenty hotels within the brand. While working with Daroff Design, Karen oversaw several projects for Caesar’s Atlantic City. She also helped create interior design services for a 30,000 square foot “Mars theme” restaurant and retail space for Mars 2112 in New York City. Karen also had a direct working relationship with the Disney Development Company and completed interior design services on behalf of Daroff Design for a 2000-room resort and a 95,000 square foot convention center for Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida.
