Terry Maher is a Research Analyst with Harmelin Media where he analyzes audience measurement statistics in order to develop marketing and media plans for the agency’s clients. He also edits the monthly Harmelin Media Report.

Terry Maher began his career in 1974 at NW Ayer in Philadelphia, the first ad agency in the US. He was the last person hired by Ayer’s Philadelphia media department just before the agency moved to New York. Ayer handled many large accounts at the time including the US Army, AT&T, and DeBeers Diamonds. After several years of media planning, buying, and research at Ayer New York, Mr. Maher returned to Philadelphia to join the Philadelphia Bulletin’s research department. He went on to become a media planner and buyer at Lewis & Gilman and the media director at Letven Advertising. Maher went to the client side and became president of State Optical, a regional chain of eyewear stores. The company won a CLIO Award for its ‘Eyewoman’ commercial. After twenty years in the optical business, he returned to his media research roots and joined Harmelin Media in Bala Cynwyd.

Mr. Maher graduated from St. Joseph’s College in Philadelphia. He earned an MBA from Boston College.
