Richard Kardon wore many hats in his over fifteen years of touring with major label acts, including: Tour Manager, Tour Coordinator, Tour Accountant and Production Manager. Utilizing his experience from years on the road, he opened a music venue in 1998 that quickly rose to national acclaim, being named “One of the Best Places to See Live Music in America” by Esquire magazine. The Point, located in Bryn Mawr, PA gained the reputation as the first Philly stop for up-and-coming acts like Norah Jones, The Avett Brothers, and Tegan & Sara, among many, and where locals like Amos Lee and Kurt Vile got their start.
In 2005 he formed Point Entertainment, working with for-profit and non-profit organizations to program and produce concerts and special events, and promoting concerts in suburban Philadelphia and central Pennsylvania. Point Entertainment also offers consulting services for PR and marketing, as well as venue design and operations. In 2013 they were instrumental in the re-design and re-branding of The Ardmore Music Hall.
