Anita Dennis has over 35 years of experience in fashion design and clothing construction. She began her career at the Art Institute of Philadelphia and immediately following created a full-figured clothing line of her own. She has worked extensively in the custom clothing market and continues to work on a one-on-one basis with clients for specialty designs.

Her teaching experience includes ten years at Drexel University. Anita’s classes consist primarily of Freshman and Sophomores, though she often assists upperclassmen on the workmanship of garments with challenging tailoring and construction.

Anita values individuality and expression as the paramount of a Drexel Fashion Design education and she endeavors to customize her teaching style to individual students to foster this. She believes that each student learns at a different rate and begins their Drexel experience at a different skill level. She is always willing to spend extra time in the explanation of a particular technique, or on the workings of any of the Department of Design’s sewing lab equipment so that students can achieve their fashion concepts. Students know Anita as the instructor that “has a tool for every problem and an answer for every question!”
