ASAP/After School Activities Partnerships
Justin Ennis is the executive director of ASAP/After School Activities Partnerships, a leading partner in Philadelphia’s out-of-school time sector. Since stepping into this role in 2011, Justin has focused on aligning ASAP’s after school programs and services within Philadelphia’s youth and family-serving systems and establishing strategic partnerships with leadership from the city’s schools, government, social service sectors, and local corporate and philanthropic community. Justin first joined ASAP as a member of the inaugural class of Philly Fellows. From 2006-2009 Justin led ASAP’s centerpiece initiative, the Philadelphia Youth Chess Challenge, a community of 200 after school chess clubs serving more than 3,000 Philadelphia youth annually. Justin also spent two years at the Arts and Business Council of Philadelphia where he coordinated core programs and special events.
Justin currently serves as a member of the Citywide Out-of-School Time Initiative’s Steering Committee, the Read By 4th Leadership Council, and the Philadelphia Youth Sports Collaborative Task Force. In addition, Justin volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern Pennsylvania and previously served as the chairperson for the District Attorney’s Youth Aid Panel in the 35th Police District.
Justin is a lifelong Philadelphian and a proud graduate of Philadelphia public schools. Justin received a B.A. in English and Cinema Studies from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006.
