Market Development Leader
Ms. Puente is an innovative and dynamic Marketing & Communications Leader with extensive experience shaping and managing front-line communication strategies across diverse industries in both the public and private sector that consistently increase revenue and heighten customer and citizen engagement. As the Market Development Leader for KPMG in the Chesapeake region, she is responsible for leading the local marketing team and driving the marketing strategy to support business growth. Ms. Puente has 20+ years of experience in her field having worked for prestigious organizations such as Accenture, Booz Allen Hamilton, BearingPoint and the Smithsonian Institution. She holds an MS in Communications Management from Towson University and a BA from Johns Hopkins University.
She is passionate about promoting gender equality in the workplace. Ms. Puente currently serves as a KPMG cohort lead for the firm’s Executive Leadership Institute for Women and recently represented KPMG on a Women in Technology panel. She is also an advocate for mothers of special needs children and serves as the co-lead on the corporate committee for Autism Speaks to help foster neurodiversity in the workplace.
Ms. Puente loves spending time with her husband, two boys (ages 5 and 9) and Bernese Mountain dog named Charlie. She is interested in health and fitness and loves the arts.
