Clinical Breast Radiologist
Breast Center of Northwest Arkansas

Grear is a clinical breast radiologist at the Breast Center of Northwest Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and an advocate for women's health in Northwest Arkansas.  She graduated from Baylor University with a BS in Biology and received her MD from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas. After completing her residency in diagnostic radiology at UTMB, she joined Northwest Arkansas Radiology Associates, practicing at Washington Regional Medical Center (WRMC). She was the first female physician in this group and joined a small number of practicing female physicians in the area.

During her practice at WRMC, Grear developed an interest in breast imaging.  She and one of her partners developed the first image guided biopsy program in the area and helped develop the Multidisciplinary Breast Conference for WRMC.

In 2003, Grear and her partner left their practice to design a unique independent breast center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This facility, The Breast Center of Northwest Arkansas, brought digital mammography, ultrasound, breast MRI and image guided breast biopsy together in one facility for the first time in Arkansas.

Grear has served on and chaired the Credentials Committee at WRMC and currently serves on the Cancer Committee.  She has served on the Mammography Clinical Image Review Committee for the Arkansas State Health Department assisting in the accreditation process for mammography facilities in the state. She is a member of the Society of Breast Imaging and the American Society of Breast Disease.

Grear has been involved with the Ozark Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation since its inception and received the Komen Cameo Award in 2007. Currently she serves on the board of the MANA Charitable Foundation and is involved in Womenade, a women's giving circle.
