Ellen Langas is President of NouSoma Communications, Inc., a full-service branding, communications and public relation company that she founded in 1995. Prior to that, Ellen was on the executive leadership team of billion-dollar QVC, Inc., where she originated the Public Relations Department and gained national visibility as a popular program host and consumer spokesperson.
She is the creator and author of the national award-winning Girls Know How® book series, which earned the company a Chester County Literacy Hero award. She speaks and writes regularly as a youth career education advocate and leads career adventure workshops for children throughout the country.
Ellen earned an MBA from the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh, and Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Robert Morris University, summa cum laude.
Ellen was named one of Philadelphia’s Women of Distinction and a Freedom Valley Girl Scout Council Woman of Achievement. She received an Excellence Award from Working Woman magazine and was named one of Pennsylvania's Best 50 Women in Business. As Mrs. Pennsylvania 1994, Ellen represented Pennsylvania women, speaking on family and women's issues statewide and continues to speak and write about women’s and business issues regionally and nationally.
Active in her community, Ellen volunteers and provides pro bono work for organizations including Enactus, the Alzheimer’s Association of the Delaware Valley, Girls Inc., Miss America’s Outstanding Teen and Wings for Success. She is an accomplished commercial actress and voice-over artist, and has recorded more than 200 commercials, videos, infomercials and radio spots during her career. She is married and has two grown daughters and two stepsons.
