M.A.D.E.: Mobilizing And Diversifying Elections
Amanda Morrison is originally from Springfield, Missouri. In June 2018 she founded Missouri M.A.D.E.: Mobilizing And Diversifying Elections, a non-profit organization that inspires and empowers high school and college-age Missouri women to run for public office. As the Executive Director of Missouri M.A.D.E., she manages the executive team, helps create monthly newsletters about women leaders in Missouri and plans community events to train young women for public service leadership. As an aspiring elected official, Amanda is passionate about expanding opportunities for young women so they are prepared to run for office at all levels of government.
Amanda is currently pursuing a B.A. in Global Studies and Strategic Communication from Temple University. In her free time she serves as a Crisis Counselor on Crisis Text Line. Her previous women's advocacy and leadership positions include Executive Assistant to the President of Women's Campaign International, Mount Vernon Leadership Fellow, and intern for former U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill.
