Application Tips

Get to know us. - Drexel is not your typical university.  We are unique and it is important that you are aware of what makes us so.  We are firm believers in experiential learning.  Our cooperative education program, more affectionately known as "co-op", is one of the first of its kind. Over 90% of our students participate in co-op and graduate with up to 18 months of real-world work experience! At Drexel, you won't just graduate with a degree but a solid résumé to back it up!

Our academic calendar follows a quarter system, so we move a bit faster than most schools. Our students hit the ground running taking their major course classes as early as their freshman year.

We are a comprehensive top 100 research institution, globally connected and our home is in a city of firsts! It's not only important that you are the right fit for us – but that we are the right fit for you. We think big, we are pioneers, we have the best cheesesteaks and soft pretzels, and we prepare the next generation of industry leaders. We are not your average university, but hey…you're not an average student.

You'll find a 4,000-pound bronze dragon in the middle of our campus, known as "Mario the Magnificent" – our mythical mascot. Bet you he's appeared in more selfies than you. Come take a photo with him!
