Experiential Edge is a program that provides extensive, hands-on experiential learning for freshmen before they begin coursework for their major.
This Provost's Office initiative is available for select programs. Students admitted to the Experiential Edge program will spend their first 10 weeks participating in professional opportunities at companies and organizations in Philadelphia, receiving mentoring from upperclassmen in their major, and attending professional workshops and opportunities on campus. At the end of their first 10 weeks, students in Experiential Edge will be ready to start their undergraduate program in the winter quarter with a host of real-world skills, the beginnings of a professional network, and a deeper understanding of their academic interests.
This program is open to students interested in:
- Health Services Administration
- Culinary Arts and Sciences
- Entertainment and Arts Management
- Entrepreneurship and Innovation
- Nutrition and Foods
Students participating in Experiential Edge will be eligible to receive a stipend from Drexel that can be used for living costs (students who do not live within 10 miles of Drexel's campus are eligible to live in University housing for the fall term).
Note: International students are not eligible for the Experiential Edge program.
