Ignacio González Salgado, PhD, MSc, is a Margarita Salas postdoctoral research fellow and a visiting scholar at the UHC. Ignacio holds a PhD in social science from the University of Salamanca (Spain). His research interest are health-related behaviors in the urban environment with special focus on alcohol consumption and smoking. His previous research was based on qualitative methodology, and it was conducted in three different socioeconomic status neighborhoods in Madrid (Spain). Since 2021 he is a board member of the Young Spanish Epidemiologists group. At the Urban Health Collaborative, his work will focus on alcohol consumption among Latin American population.
